The first Fairfield County Fair was held in Lancaster, Ohio, the second week of October, 1851.
The Fairfield County Fair is known as The Last and Best of the Season.
The goal of our fair is to provide a family oriented event with fun for all ages. So come check out why so many consider the Fairfield County Fair a great county fair and continue to come back year after year.

SUMMER WEIGH-IN/ TAG-IN CHANGES
The Fairfield County Fair will be tagging in and weighing animals on the third Saturday of July in 2022. The specific date is July 16th at the Fairfield County Fairgrounds in Lancaster. The animals that will be tagged and/or weighed-in are as follows: Dairy Feeders in the Steer Barn starting at 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. – Market Lambs in the Swine Barn from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. – Market Goats will be tagged in the #50 barn from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m..— Swine will be tagged in the Hog Barn area from 7 a.m. until 12 noon.
Please be advised exhibitors can have others bring their animals that day if it conflicts with your schedule. Exhibitors will be responsible for completing all required paperwork prior to the tagging date. If you think you will have difficulty getting all your animals tag in this time frame, we will make sure you are tagged in that day. The week prior to the event you will have the opportunity to inform if you think you will have a conflict in getting everything weighed and/ or tagged due to number of projects. Hogs will not leave your trailer they will be tagged in the trailer. Check your 4-H and FFA advisors as we come closer to the date for more information.

It offers a variety of attractions including bull riding, truck & tractor pull, horse pull, demolition derbies, mule races and harness racing. There is also a large assortment of exhibits and rides for all ages.
Rules and regulations for all events may be picked up at the administration building on the fairgrounds or just check the forms tab at the top of the page.
